From the Daily World:
…Alderman Reggie Tatum said the city also needs to update its ordinances to deal with pit bulls and other dangerous animals.
“I am seeing more and more pit bulls. I think we need to be proactive. After a child has been killed, it is too late,” Tatum said.
Cravins agreed, mentioning a pit bull that was being led through the crowd by a man at a recent city parade. “That scared me to death,” Cravins said.
Parks and Recreation Director Ken Vidrine said untended pit bulls are a problem he is seeing in the city parks as well.
“Guys will come in, chain their pit bulls to a fence and go play basketball. That is dangerous,” Vidrine said.
