“…Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler said the city is looking into whether Madison needs a ban on certain breeds and what other measures need to be taken to protect residents and assure their safety.
…There have been no reported cases of pit bulls attacking or biting anyone in the city. City officials say they have no idea how many pit bulls are kept as pets here.”

This issue about banning an entire breed makes no sense to me.. if these people acutally believe that all pits are bad. Then what’s wrong with the argument of banning the parents and children of murders and child molesters, because if you see one bad apple the whole tree must be rotten.
